Youth Language Project

In 2020 and 2024, student in ANTH 248 studied the uses of the English expressions “valid”, “-core”, “lowkey," and the Mandarin expression “ni su” (little fairy).

Some of the expressions the high school students studied in 2024 were “Rizz,” “Gyatt” and “Standing on business.”
